Solmar Hotels & Resorts is a collection of five luxury resort hotels in Los Cabos, Mexico. One of the hotels, Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort and Spa was a 2012 Certificate of Excellence Winner on TripAdvisor. The hotels are known for incredible service and attention to detail amidst the natural beauty of Mexico’s western coast.
Towards the end of 2011, Ricardo Orozco, Managing Director, began looking for a solution to help staff at the hotels monitor what was being said at the properties and join in the conversation. He says, “There is a lot of buzz about Web 2.0 technologies and social networks such as Twitter, Facebook and TripAdvisor among hotels. We were looking for a solution that would help us exploit these powerful channels to forge closer relationships with our clients.”
