Landgoed De Holtweijde, for example, launched a successful late summer campaign to fill rooms while encouraging guests to plan their holiday stays. The late summer package went beyond just promoting rooms but focused on creating value for guests, offering 10% off services at the health & wellness center, plus one hour of private sauna access. The campaign was sent in Dutch, targeting local guests while excluding those with upcoming reservations and those whose emails contained an OTA domain. This campaign drove impressive results, proving that it’s never too early to boost bookings and ancillary revenue around the holiday season. This one-time campaign generated the following:

Open rate: 51.2% (regional average is 33.6%)
Click-through rate: 4.7% (regional average is 2.2%)
Room nights booked: 161
