The brand
Staybridge Suites, an IHG Hotel, is an upscale, extended-stay hotel offering a distinctive experience that feels like a home away from home. With two locations in Southeast Asia, both situated in vibrant city areas — Thonglor and Sukhumvit 24 in Bangkok — it caters to both business and leisure travelers. The properties are ideally located to provide convenience and comfort for all types of guests.
The challenge
Before implementing Revinate Marketing, Staybridge Suites encountered several challenges with their email marketing program. Data collection and guest segmentation were time-consuming and cumbersome, making it difficult to manage and use guest data for personalized campaigns. The hotel’s traditional email marketing methods were ineffective at engaging guests. Additionally, creating campaigns and tracking performance was easier said than done. It was both time-consuming and nearly impossible to understand what was working, report on ROI, and determine where efforts should be focused.
The solution
In September 2023, Staybridge Suites successfully transformed its marketing program by partnering with Revinate. Thanks to Revinate Marketing’s seamless integration with the hotel’s property management system (PMS), data collection is streamlined, and guest data is efficiently organized.
The platform enables the Staybridge marketing team to filter and target the right market segments for each campaign. Thanks to customizable templates and an intuitive UI, campaigns can now be created in just minutes. For example, a one-time campaign for Staybridge Suites Bangkok Sukhumvit (featured right) targeted past guests with no future stays. The campaign, which focused on thanking loyal guests, drove 1433 room nights and THB 3,915,955 in direct bookings. Another campaign targeted guests who stayed at the hotel three or more times with a check-out date within the last two years. The campaign, which highlighted the exclusivity of the offer, drove 430 room nights and THB 1,133,542 in direct bookings.
Revinate Marketing also provides comprehensive campaign performance tracking, including key metrics such as clicks, opens, bounce rates, and revenue generated. This data has proven invaluable for refining strategies, understanding audience preferences, and optimizing future campaigns.
The results
With Revinate Marketing, Staybridge Suites experienced a notable boost in direct revenue, thanks to being able to target very specific segments of the guest database. Additionally, the insights provided by Revinate allow Staybridge Suites to tailor its marketing campaigns more effectively, resulting in improved overall performance. Some performance highlights include:
- 36% average open rate for one-time campaigns
- 1402/769 average room nights per one-time campaign (Sukhumvit/Thonglor)
- THB 165M in direct revenue in 12 months
