Van der Valk Hotel Breda’s Summer BBQ series is a great example of how connected guest data can turn seasonal restaurant events into a meaningful source of additional revenue.
Using the integration between Revinate and SevenRooms, the hotel created a highly relevant audience based on previous dining behavior. Rather than promoting the BBQs to its entire database, the team focused on guests who had already visited the restaurant and were therefore more likely to return for another dining experience.
The campaign promoted multiple Summer BBQ editions held throughout the season. Strong food imagery immediately set the scene, while the copy highlighted the wider experience: live entertainment, a generous BBQ buffet, and a relaxed atmosphere on the hotel’s terrace.
Each email focused on an upcoming BBQ date, using personalized subject lines, clear reservation buttons, and timely messaging to encourage guests to secure their tables. Recipients were directed to SevenRooms, creating a smooth journey from targeted communication to confirmed restaurant reservation.
The campaign generated 50 restaurant reservations across the Summer BBQ series.
What makes this campaign stand out is not a complicated offer or a heavy discount. Its success came from promoting the right experiences to the right audience. By bringing SevenRooms dining data into Revinate, Van der Valk Hotel Breda could use previous restaurant visits to create more relevant marketing and encourage guests to return.
